The main Towra Beach (BB 21) commences at the low sandy point and trends southeast for 1.1 km, terminating as it merges with mangroves. It is fronted by a mix of sand flats and seagrass meadows.
All four beaches can only be reached by boat or on foot along Towra Point Road, a locked boggy track. The beaches all change shape and length over periods of years to decades and are little used apart from boat traffic
