Ulladulla Harbour is situated in a natural bay, with the southern Warden Head extending 1.5 km seaward and reefs and bomboras across parts of the bay entrance. To improve anchorage a stone pier was built in 1865 and two more substantial attached breakwaters between 1960 and 1964. A 60 m wide gap between the breakwaters provides access to the inner harbour. Three beaches (NSW 470) are located either side and inside the harbour, and two along the southern rocky shore (NSW 471). The northern beach (NSW 470N) is a 250 m long strip of high tide sand, fronted by an irregular mixture of rock flats and reefs extending 100 m off the shore. It faces southeast across the bay and usually receives low waves, while it is backed by 10 m high bluffs and bordered in the south by the northern breakwater.
Beach Length: 0.25km
