Camp Cove is a 250 m wide northwest-facing bay containing a curving 240 m long steep sandy beach (SH 51) bordered by rocky points. The beach is backed by a mixture of private and public seawall, a walkway and private houses (Fig. 4.236). The seawall has narrowed the high beach to 1-3 m in the centre, widening to 10 m at each end. Public access is via Laings Point Reserve on the western headland and Cliff St to the east, with a kiosk, toilets and shower located at the northern end, where stairs lead to a walking track to the adjacent Sydney Harbour National Park. This is a popular beach and on summer weekends many boats also moor off the beach. White floats mark a no boating zone off the central–southern section of beach, and boats are only permitted to land in the northern corner.
Beach Length: 0.24km
