Harbour Beach (Mackay) has been constructed by building two 800 m long breakwaters out from the beach, enclosing nearly 1 km2 of protected harbour. Tucked in at either end of the harbour are two pockets of sand; the northern (1116) is a 100 m long, steep beach wedged up against the northern breakwater. This area is highly restricted area no access only authorised boats
