Bongaree Beach (1558) fronts the town of Bongaree on the south-western end of Bribie Island. The 500m long, narrow high tide beach faces west across the deep, 500m wide Pumicestone passage. The beach is backed by a grassy foreshore reserve and the town centre, and has a boat ramp. It is fronted by 50 to 100m wide sand flats, then the deep channel.
